Google with the help of HostGator approached Small business in Chandni chowk which is one of the oldest and India’s largest whole sale market in Delhi and created free websites for 2500 business who are now online with their own website and there is a directory made available by google which lists all these websites under different categories.

Directory contains almost all categories ranging from Hardware to Jeweleries. Under each category there is list of shop’s which contains details of the Shop name, owner, Address, contact number & the Website link.Most of the websites which are in the list contains very basic information of the shop, contact and mail-id. Its simple, but a good initiative by Google who is helping business to get online presence & reach the customers. Google might extend similar projects in others places to provide websites for more small industries.There are only few lakh websites out of million small medium business who are yet to create their websites and make their presence online.

Google is encouraging every small business owners in india to utilize this opportunity and to create their own website free of cost. Anybody who is having small business or startup can get the domain & hosting free for one year from .
